Highlights of this conference were:

Provided writing opportunities

Variety and diversity of workshops and offerings

The caliber of faculty who presented

All the choices of all the concurrent classes, I always felt there was something useful and educational for me to choose from

A great variety of writers who were passionate

The chance to meet and talk with some of my favorite authors

Diversity, Organization, Comfort Level, Balanced presentation by genre

Location and hospitality

Networking, nurturing, hard data on how to get publisher

Diversity and accessibility of presenters

Close interaction with writers, social interaction

Well organized/ Great presenters people serious and value this work

Sessions stayed on schedule and flowed well

The quality of the presentations

Variety of authors

High quality presenters!

The speakers were wonderful! Actually successful writers as well as good presenters

There was something for everyone, all genre’, even children’s lit., and a session that may not have moved me, and did someone else

I took something valuable from every session

The positive encouraging yet realistic tone of the presentations

Organization, opportunities for networking, setting

The diverse selections, helpful for novice as myself

Keeping things on schedule

Atmosphere, lots of variety in backgrounds and format, but great attitude of coming together. I was concerned that the conference might be extremely regionally focused and I was pleased to see it was broader

The quality of the presentations, extra meeting room in the restaurant area, the attention to scheduled times

Approachability and supportiveness of presenters/ faculty. Each workshop was a medium in which we all floated and sang

Great food and lots of it: incredible strength in presenters

the quality presenters and attendees and the location

Variety, diversity wide selection of Alaska writer plus a few more from outside, yet maintaining focus on Alaska, welcoming to beginning writers. Broad topics, strong presenters

The opportunity to gather after sessions, receptions in more relaxed venues

Downtown readings, bonfire, first pages

Networking with other writers= support, affirmation, friendship, and identifying with others

Boat Trip

Open mic

New ideas to write about through exercises and just talking to people

Having manuscript review by a visiting presenter

The writing circles and the casual nature of the conference in general

Boat trip, was fun and a great chance to talk with other attendees, editor and agent, good choices!
