It is vital to pay attention to which university within the UA system your Distance Education courses are coming from.  Each university has it’s own bookstore, policies, deadlines, email and blackboard systems.  If you are a UAA degree seeking student taking a distance course from a UAF or UAS campus you must request that credits be transferred.  It is strongly recommended that you verify with an advisor that transfer credits will apply to your degree program before taking the course.

You can tell what university is offering a course by looking at the course number.  For Example:

ENGL A111 I20 is a University of Alaska, Anchorage course.

ENGL S111 TD1 is a University of Alaska, Southeast course.
