Find
full-text articles as well as abstracts and citations
from the FirstSearch and ProQuest databases. Includes
the Databases for Alaskans. Databases licensed by
UAA may be accessed off-campus with a UAA
user id and password. This is a good place to start your article search,
especially when you are not familiar with the databases.
This
is the same list of databases as in Databases by Subject,
above, but they are organized by database name.
If you already know which database you want to search
it may be quicker to go to this list.>
Includes
full-text articles from EBSCO Host database, Electric
Library and Gale's Health Reference Center. Thanks
to our state legislature, these are available to all
Alaskans who have Internet access.
Helps
you find which databases include articles from a particular
journal, magazine, newspaper, etc.
TIP #1:
If you are in need of compete articles, not just the
abstract and/or citation, check the "full-text"
box in the database search screen.
TIP #2: If you need an article that not available
in full text (only the abstract is included in a database
or it's from a bibliography in a book or article,
etc.), you can request a photocopy of the article
through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Be sure to allow
at least 7-14 days for the article to arrive.
