Admissions

Students whose educational goal is to obtain a Vocational Certificate or Associate Degree should complete the admission process as early as possible to assure timely review of transfer credits, and individual needs are included in planning. Admission is required to receive financial aid. KPC certificate and associate degree programs operate under an open admission policy. For students applying to other UA degree programs, admission deadlines may apply. See individual UAA, UAF or UAS websites for details.

To qualify for admission, a student must:
1. Have earned a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), or
2. Be 18 years of age or older and have participated in KPC’s Assessment and Advising Process or
3. Qualify under special University programs.

Submit an Application for Admission form.
Return it by mail or in person at the KBC Enrollment Services Office on campus. A $40.00 Admission Fee is required.
Submit High School Transcripts.
Have an official copy of your high school transcripts or your General Educational Development (GED) test scores sent to the KBC Enrollment Services. Returning adult students who have been out of high school for 10 years or more may elect not to submit high school transcripts. However, they must complete the Ability to Benefit process through Student Services.
Submit College Transcripts.
Transfer students will also need an official college transcript from all colleges that have been attended prior to enrollment at KPC. Helpful link: Transfer Credit Resource Site.
