Bachelor of Arts, Psychology
What is Psychology?
Psychology is the scientific study of human experience. We learn about this discipline by examining the influence of biological, developmental, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects of our experience, and how these elements interact to affect our thought and behavior. Psychology's focus is usually on understanding individuals. However, it is inherently interdisciplinary in that it draws upon knowledge in the natural sciences, the Social Sciences, and Humanities. Studying psychology allows students to better understand their own experience and behavior as well as that of others. The KPC Psychology Department offers a range of courses designed to meet the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds and with varying degrees of interest in psychology.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the psychology faculty at KPC to employ excellence in the generation, dissemination, and the application of psychological knowledge. We invite students to join us in these honorable pursuits.
